The particle filter has a filter housing (8), which has a cylindrical inner space limited from an inner surface (10). A filter element is provided, whose outer contour is filled for filtering of particles at the cross section of the inner space at internal contour of the inner surface under release of a gap. The filter element is axially and radially fixed in the cylindrical inner space.
