The device (1) has a base body (3) i.e. U-shaped clamp, including a bearing surface and a clamping unit (13) operating orthogonal to the bearing surface. The clamping unit has a pressure pad (11), which distributes clamping force obtained from the clamping unit onto a toothed rack (7) and a rail i.e. guide rail (9), arranged on the toothed rack. A guide element is arranged orthogonal to the bearing surface, where the guide element and the bearing surface are formed in the base body in a single piece.
