The tract (1) has a collector (3) e.g. cylindrical hollow body, for collecting liquid water (4) separated from exhaust gas, where the water is separated in a region of evacuation of the water from the collector via a pipe portion (2). The collector is connected with the pipe portion in the region of the evacuation of the water by a connecting pipe (16) e.g. riser pipe. The water is conveyed from the collector via the connecting pipe depending on pressure (p1, p2) in the pipe portion and the collector, where the pressure is dependent on an operating condition of a fuel cell system. An independent claim is also included for a method for delivering liquid water collected in an exhaust tract of a fuel cell system.
