The device has two sheet linear slotters (5) which are adjustable to different sizes. Each slotter is reciprocatingly movable opposite to a sheet (2) to be aligned. An electrical linear motor (4) is provided for moving the sheet linear slotter. A movement range of the linear motor corresponds to half of the difference between maximum and minimum sizes of the sheet for operating the slotter in a longitudinal direction for size adjustment and in a transverse movement for adjustment of sheet to be aligned.
