A method for the separation of fat - and water images according to the two - point - dixon - process under berüksichtigung of the T*2-Disintegration,characterized by the following steps:S1: acquiring of three fat - water - images of the echo - times te1, te2 and te3 in such a way according to the hf - excitation pulse,that fat and water in the first and third fat - water - image in the same phase and in the second image are in phase opposition,S2: calculating a T*2-Card from the two in-phase images,S3: correcting the T*2-Influence in one of the two in-phase, as well as in the antiphase fat - water - image,S4 of: reconstructing of a pure T*2-corrected Fat - image as well as of a pure T*2-corrected Water - image according to the two - point - dixon - method based on the in step s3 T*2-corrected in-phase and antiphase fat - water - images.
