The machine has a workstation with two sensors (1, 2) e.g. magnet switches, for detecting a status of the workstation. The sensors are connected in series with a safety module (3), which emits a signal that indicates the status of the workstation. A coupling (4) has a connection (5) connected with the safety module, another connection (6) connected with one of the sensors, and a third connection (7) connected with another coupling (8) that is connected with the other sensor. One of the couplings is designed as T-piece or Y-piece.
