The device has an illumination unit i.e. LED, arranged in an outer wall or in an area of a door-sided front side or in a door. A sensor e.g. movement or proximity sensor, is connected with the illumination unit. The sensor controls temporal process of activation of the illumination unit, amplitude and/or intensity of illumination caused by the illumination unit and/or color of the illumination based on a predetermined parameter e.g. opening or closing condition of the door.
