The device has a heat exchanger tube (1) with a wall (6) for guiding combustion gases of a burner from a heat exchanger input (3) to a heat exchanger output (5) along a longitudinal direction (L) of the tube. Change in configuration of the heat exchanger input to the heat exchanger output includes increase of heat energy recording coefficient per unit length of the tube for transferring heat energy from the gases to the wall and increase of heat energy transfer coefficient per unit length of the tube for transferring heat energy from the wall to a medium i.e. water.
