The method involves variably activating the gas network pressure depending on an evaluation criterion. The gas network pressure is variably activated by a pressure controlling plant (6) for transmission of signals in a gas supply network (1) between components of the gas network for locking and increasing the gas feeding and gas receiving. The gas network pressure is variable activated depending on an evaluation criterion. The variation of the gas network pressure takes place by the pressure controlling plant.
