The tent i.e. marquee (1) has an openable roof (3) with a fixed roof awning (12a, 12b) arranged in a lower area of the roof. The fixed roof awning extends from a gutter (9) in a direction of a roof ridge (10). A movable awning (15a, 15b) is movable transverse to a tent longitudinal axis. The movable awning comprises a welt and is guided into guidance grooves (29a, 29b) at lateral edges (18a, 18b, 19a, 19b) running transverse to the tent longitudinal axis. The movable awning is used for closing and opening the roof in a position, at which an opening of the tent is covered or opened.
