The battery (1) has battery cells (2) i.e. flat cells, electrically connected with each other in parallel and/or series. A cooling device controls temperature of the cells and includes a heat exchanger (3) with a meandering-type molded cooling pipe (3.4), where cooling agent passes through the cooling pipe. A planar side of upper surfaces of a meander of the pipe lies at a surface (3.1) of a cooling plate (3.3). The pipe is connected to the cooling plate using holding clamps in force-fit manner. A cross-sectional area of the pipe has a shape of a rectangular frame.
