The lamp has an illuminant (103) i.e. filament, arranged within a lamp vessel (100), where the vessel has a portion (1010, 1011) comprising absorption coatings (108, 109) for absorbing light emitted from the illuminant in a preset spectral range. The vessel has an infrared reflective coating (1013) e.g. blue or yellow infrared reflective coating, in another portion (1012) for reflecting light from the illuminant in infrared wavelength range back to the illuminant. The infrared reflective coating is comprised of silicon dioxide and niobium pentoxide layers.
