The toothbrush has a handle-recess-ring (13) provided in a front area of an electro-toothbrush handle (1). A drive unit is provided with a battery part having an electrical charging unit, an electric motor and a shifted gear unit. The drive unit is guided to tips of bristles/bristle bunch of a thin and short toothbrush head (2) and provided in a handle part for transferring a longitudinal hub-plastering movement. The tips point in a direction of tooth tips. An outward limiting radius edge is provided at a base of the head.
