The method involves logically separating audio signals (Audio) from control information (Ctrl) and a video signal (Vid), where the separated audio signals are transmitted with predetermined bit samples via a digital interface. The video signal and the control information are transmitted via the digital interface and separated from each other. The digital interface is partially operated in accordance with and/or based on Low-Voltage Differential Signaling (LVDS)or automotives pixels (APIX)standards. An independent claim is also included for a device for transmission of data in a vehicle.
