The filtering device (1) has a drum (2), where lint is present in an exhaust air flow (50) and depositable on a surface that extends in a rotational direction of the drum, so that the exhaust air flow is free from the lint after passing the drum. The drum is rotatably mounted on the filtering device. A stripping device i.e. plastic scraper, is mounted outside the drum, and is in contact with the drum, so that a surface of the drum is freed from the deposited lint by relative motion of the drum and the stripping device. The surface of the drum is provided with a filter.
