摘要

The method involves mapping odors of a forest by ion mobility spectrometric detection of volatile molecules (11) with a molecular weight of predominantly below 2000 dalton to obtain a new image of nature. A two-dimensional chart illustrating distribution of odors is generated. The two-dimensional chart is used to study metabolic pathways of organisms of the forest. The studied information is used to detect volatile pharmaceuticals. An independent claim is also included for a device for detecting trace of chemical compounds using ion mobility spectrometry.
