The method involves generating a hit list by a Levenshtein process based on spoken-word group of a driver of a vehicle, where the word group is determined as a hit from a speech recognition. A best hit in the hit list is determined from the speech recognition. The hit list is represented by a microprocessor (2), a microphone (3) and a display (4). The word group is recorded by the micro phone, and transmitted to the microprocessor. An independent claim is also included for a device for generating a hit list with automatic speech recognition.
