The sensor lock (1) has a lock including a plastic plunger (3) and a latching element i.e. spherical cap, for latching on a latch contour arranged on a shifting element. The latching element is pretensioned against the shifting element and/or the latch contour. A sensor unit has a sensor element (27) that is temporarily movable relative to another sensor element (28) e.g. hall sensor, of the sensor unit, by the latching element. The sensor element is arranged in a housing (21) with a receiver (36) for the lock. The latching element is formed as a part of a latching sleeve (12). An independent claim is also included for a shifting unit comprising a latching contour.
