The invention relates to solid oxide fuel cells, in particular to cathode materials based on complex oxides of transition metals. Said invention makes it possible to increase the conductivity of a cathode material and to reduce the thermal expansion factor thereof. The inventive perovskite-like oxide is in the form of a compound of general formula SrSUB1-x-y/SUBCaSUBy/SUBRSUBx/SUBCoSUB1-z/SUBMnSUBz/SUBOSUB3-t /SUB, wherein 0 x= 0.75; 0 = y=1.0; 0=z=1.0; R is an element from a Sm,Gd and Y-containing group.
