The method involves displacing a crankshaft (12) of an internal-combustion engine (10) into rotating motion by an external force supply. Combustion chambers of the internal-combustion engine are placed in constant contact with environment. A speed signal (26) over a crank angle is detected and evaluated at multiple revolutions of the crankshaft, and the detected speed signal is divided by a middle speed signal. Oscillating masses (24) that arise during operation of the internal-combustion engine are characterized by crank angle-dependent effects on the speed signal. An independent claim is also included for a computer program having a set of instructions for executing a method for determining crank angle-dependent effects on speed signal of an internal-combustion engine.
