The method involves considering dimension e.g. length (l), width (b), height, wheel base (d), maximum steering angle (alpha) and/or minimum radius (r) of a turning circle (130), of a vehicle (100) e.g. lorry, during generation of a route suggestion. A representation is produced on a display, where the display contains information about a route. The route suggestion is generated by using a navigation system such that driving through curves requiring previous step out of line by the vehicle are controlled.
