The device (1) has a turbine housing (3) connected with a bearing housing (2). A variable turbine geometry part is provided between the bearing housing and the turbine housing. A vane mounting ring (4) of the geometry part is fixed to the bearing housing and/or to the turbine housing by a fit-in key (14) e.g. square fit-in key. A cover disk (8) of the geometry part is fixed to the turbine housing by the fit-in key. The fit-in key is arranged at a circumference side or a front side of the ring and/or the disk. A closed or opened groove (15') is provided at the ring and/or at the disk.
