The bearing has a roller body (14) arranged between an outer bearing ring (10) and an inner bearing ring (12). A two-part cage (18) positions the roller body. The roller body rests at contact surfaces (24) of the cage, where the contact surfaces are coated by a thin layer coating process e.g. physical vapor deposition, chemical vapor deposition or plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition process. The cage parts form cage pockets, which position the roller body. Running surfaces (16) in the two bearing rings are coated. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing two-part or multi-part cage for a roller bearing.
