The set has a potato holding device (1) comprising a grab handle (4) i.e. oblong, and a holding unit (5) for holding a potato to be peeled. The holding unit is connected with an end (7) of the grab handle, and has a potato peeler. A holding arm is connected with another holding arm. The holding arms are moved between a closed peeling position for fixing a peeling section of the potato to be peeled and an open release position for releasing the peeling section. A stripping thorn (6) is provided for stripping the removed peeling sections by the peeler on another end (8) of the grab handle.
