The device (1) has holding elements (2) assigned to empty plastic bottles and detachably connected with the bottles. A carrier (4) is provided for the holding elements that are formed in such a manner that a fixing section of the holding elements is inserted into the bottles by an opening in an assembly position. The fixing section is placed against an inner surface of the bottles in the position, so that the bottles are held at the holding element in a form-fit and/or force-fit manner. An expanding region (9) is flexibly formed transverse to a longitudinal axis of the holding elements.
