The battery (2) has an integrated device (1) integrated with a voltage determination unit (3) and a display unit (4). The determination unit determines voltage of the battery, and the display unit displays determined result of voltage of the battery. The determination unit is connected with the battery by voltage level measuring sections (5, 6) independent of each other. The display unit is attached to power supplies independent of each other by power supply lines (9, 10). An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a battery.
