Stabilizer for use in chassis of motor vehicle, has stabilizer halves connected with chassis via coupling bar that is designed as hydraulic free-switching device, where stabilizer is decouplable by hydraulic free switching device
The stabilizer (50) has two stabilizer elements (52, 54) rotated by an electric motor driven actuator (56) for rolling control and/or pitch control and connected with a chassis via a coupling bar (58). The coupling bar is designed as a hydraulic free-switching device, where the stabilizer is decouplable by a hydraulic free switching device. The bar has two linear hydraulic lockable and/or free switchable coupling elements that are movable relative top each other. The device is lockable or free switchable by a single solenoid valve. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a stabilizer.
