The visible component (1) has a metallic plate-shaped base body (2) with a decoration at a surface, where the surface is formed as a three dimensional structure. The three dimensional structure is formed as an engraved structure and/or a lattice-like structure, where the lattice-like structure has recesses (3) with depth and breadth of 0.5 mm. The decoration is formed as a layer that is produced by a powder coating process or as a printed layer and/or a varnish layer, and the base body has a thickness of 1 mm. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a visible component.
