The invention relates to a method for the production of aliphatic carboxylic acids from aldehydes by oxidation with oxygen or oxygen-containing gases. The new process is in the case of elevated pressure and in the case of an oxygen excess, based on the stoichiometrically required amount of oxygen, carried out in a microreactor.
