Method for reducing artifact of computed tomographic image data of e.g. dual source computed tomographic scan, involves reconstructing final computed tomographic data from final projection data set
The method involves scanning a testing object i.e. patient (7), with two X-ray sources (2, 4). Input projection data sets are combined to a common projection data set. One of the projection data sets and the common projection data set are segmented into two separated projection data sets with different spatial frequency bands. A final projection data set is generated from a low-frequency input projection data set and from high frequency regulated common projection data set. A final computed tomographic data is reconstructed from the final projection data set. An independent claim is also included for a computed tomographic system with a computer and a memory for storing of program code for performing a method for reducing artifact of computed tomographic data from dual or multi source scan.
