Method for determining rotational speed of e.g. low pressure shaft of aircraft engine, involves producing rotational speed signals for rotary shaft by magnetic coding of shaft and recognizing and evaluating signals by two signal sensors
The method involves producing rotational speed signals (8-10) for a metallic rotary shaft (3) by magnetic coding of the shaft. The signals are recognized and evaluated by two housing-firm signal sensors that are symmetrically distributed around a periphery of the shaft. A stripe pattern-like magnetic structure is provided for measuring and determining torque, twisting, axial and radial offsets of the shaft for interruption of fuel supply. An activation parameter is integrated in a computer-software for controlling a turbo- engine. An independent claim is also included for a device for executing a method for determining rotational speed of a metallic rotary shaft of a turbo-machine and an aircraft engine.
