The method involves producing dry snow particles from liquid carbon dioxide in an expansion chamber (1) located in a jet device. The dry snow particles determine carrier gas, and a jet spray conduit (3) guides the carrier gas. Speed of sound is approximately accelerated by the jet nozzle. The liquid carbon dioxide is cooled before introduction into the expansion chamber of the jet device at a temperature of about minus 40 degrees. Restriction at a narrow point amounts to 20 percentage of largest cross-section area of the expansion chamber.
