The earring (10) has a pin (16) that is attached at a base (14) and comprises two pin ends (24, 26). One of the pin ends (26) is inserted through a perforation that is formed in an ear pad. A rounded element (28) i.e. ball head, is provided at the inserted pin end. The cross section of the rounded element is larger than the cross section of the pin at the inserted pin end. The rounded element is spherically formed and the pin is curved. The base is circular in shape and formed in a flexible manner. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing an earring.
