Roller for traction mechanism drive of internal combustion engine, is designed as component fixed at outer ring by hub, where hub and jacket are connected by element that consists of struts for formation of C-shaped cross-sectional profile
The roller (1) is supported at a traction mechanism by a running jacket (4) and designed as a single-part component made of plastic i.e. reinforced thermoplastic. The component is fixed at an outer ring (10) of a roller bearing (3) in a form-fit and/or force-fit manner by a hub (2), where the hub and the jacket are connected by a strut element (6). The strut element includes eccentrically arranged radial struts (7) for formation of a C-shaped cross-sectional profile. The radial struts are limited at an end-side by circumferentially-distributed, asymmetrically positioned connecting struts (8).
