The frame has a support (7) for a couch surface and partitioned into parallel sections e.g. head section (2), back section (3), a bottom section (4), a thigh section (5) and lower leg section (6), from a head to foot. The partitioned sections are connected with each other over rotation axes (9-12). The sections are arranged planar symmetrical to a rotation axis-parallel, vertical symmetric plane (8) that bisects the support. A Stroke mechanism is attached to one of the head section and the back section, and a lifting mechanism is attached at one of the thigh section and the lower leg section.
