The device is designed such that an inert mass is arranged within a region of electrical coils (2, 3) that are movable in horizontal direction (B). The electrical coils are movable relative to homogeneous magnetic field (4) by the inert mass that is designed as a metal object (1). An electrical voltage (Uind) is induced in the electrical coils by relative movement between the electrical coils and the magnetic field and/or the metal object and the magnetic field. The relative movement is excited by longitudinal and/or lateral acceleration of a vehicle.
