The method involves fixing a machine component (3) of an electrical machine (1) i.e. drive motor, to a housing (4) and/or to another machine component by electromagnetic pulse technology (EMPT), using a tool (2), and forming a connecting area (10) using EMPT. An outer-sided stator (5) is connected to the housing same as the former component. The tool is provided with a condenser (6) that is connected with a coil (7). Magnetic field is produced by short pulse-like recharging of a condenser and led to a concentrator (9) over a magnetic field line (8), after charging the condenser. An independent claim is also included for a tool for production of a connecting area in an electrical machine by electromagnetic pulse technology.
