The board has an outer layer (1) made of a non inflammable mineral insulating material and an inner layer (2) made of a flexible insulating material e.g. polystyrene and/or mineral wool. An adhesive layer (4) e.g. polyurethane-foam or mineral adhesive, connects the outer layer and the inner layer together. A moisture barrier is arranged in a joint between the outer and the inner layers, where the joint is formed by the adhesive layer. The internal layer exhibits diffusion channels (5) i.e. longitudinal slots, or a vapor diffusion-open structure.
