Path- and oscillation measuring device for direct path calibration and in-process oscillation monitoring of e.g. computer numerically controlled machine tool, has inertial sensor mounted at movable part of machine tool
The device has a 3-dimensional (3D) inertial sensor (201) e.g. triplex acceleration sensor and a triplex rotation rate sensor mounted at a movable part of a computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tool in a defined position. Another 3D inertial sensor is fastened at a movable or fixed part of the machine tool. Integrators and superposition points are provided such that momentary relative position of machine parts is measurable together. A temperature sensor is inserted in the machine tool.
