Expandable mixture comprises at least one foamable polymer comprising polyolefins, polyamides and/or biodegradable polymers and particles from at least one collagen containing material. Independent claims are included for: (1) preparing the expandable mixture comprising mixing the polymer with the particles; (2) a foam, obtained from the expandable mixture; and (3) preparing the foam comprising producing the expandable mixture by the above method, and foaming the expandable mixture.
