Method for reducing channel model i.e. time variant tapped-delay-line-model, utilized for simulating signal transmission channel between transmitter and receiver, involves optimizing resultant function based on folding
The method involves representing a signal transmission channel by a time variant channel impulse response with different weights and delayed paths. A full channel impulse response is provided in a time range at a time point by a specific formula and is represented by a corresponding reduced channel impulse response. A difference between the full channel impulse response and the reduced channel impulse response is folded with a bandwidth-limited impulse, where a bandwidth of the impulse corresponds to a bandwidth of a receiver. A resultant function is optimized based on the folding.
