The method involves providing a connection brake disk including a brake disk pot (1) and a friction ring, which are connected with each other using a micro form-fit connection. A joining area (2) is smoothed on the brake disk pot, and roughness points are plastically deformed on the joining area by a polishing roll (4) such that a hardened, fine-grained edge layer is formed, where a thickness of a material carrier part is increased by the edge layer. The joining area is hardened upto a depth of 10 micro meters. An independent claim is also included for a device for increasing torque transmission and endurance limit of a joining area at a brake disk pot of a connection brake disk.
