The method involves producing a profiling of a joining surface (18) of a friction ring (14) and/or a joining surface (16) of a brake disk pot (12). The friction ring and/or the brake disk pot are rotated relative to each other under formation of a friction welded joint. The friction ring and the brake disk pot are pressed together in an axial direction (20). A contact pressure between the friction ring and the brake disk pot is increased in the axial direction during rotation of the friction ring and/or the brake disk pot.
