The bag (1) has a bag part consisting of an upper layer (2) and a lower layer, which are made of air-permeable filter material. An element (4) i.e. diversion device, is arranged in the bag part and is fixed at connection points (6,10) at the layers. The connection points are released when a preset traction force is exerted on the element. The element consists of paper, cardboard, foil, wood, metal, plastic or non-woven material. A separating part is inserted between the upper layer and element at one of the connecting points. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a vacuum cleaner bag.
