PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool for checking the placing position of an indwelling gastric fistula catheter which can keep cleaning costs reduced and inflicts no pain on a patient and to provide a method for checking the placing position of it.;SOLUTION: The tool 20 for checking the placing position of the indwelling gastric fistula catheter 10 which indwells in a hole formed between the skin surface of the patient and the inner surface of his or her stomach lining SW is composed of a fiber scope 23 and a protective cover 24.
