Device for braking and holding the flow of the sediments along the coast, disposed perpendicularly or longitudinally with respect to the coast, consisting of an outer protective shell 1 to the inside of which is disposed one or more internal envelopes 2 forming a filter, the shell 1 and the inner casing 2 is permeable to water, and having a shape of a roll, said inner shell 2 being injected hydraulically of aggregates, characterized in that said outer protective shell 1 is constituted by a plurality of successive layers which are permeable.
