The device (1) has a pressing unit (5) with an active surface (5A) contacting a volume of filling material (6) e.g. catalyst and resin mixture, to press the material on a surface of a wall/floor covering during displacement of the device. The unit has a scraper forming packing (7) in lower part and in elongation of the surface (5A). The packing removes the material remaining on surface of elements (4) of the covering, and excess material from gaps (3) between the elements, during pressing the material. A vibrating unit (8) vibrates the unit (5) to aid the penetration of material in the gaps. An independent claim is also included for a method for forming joints of wall or floor covering such as tiled floor or pavement.
