The exchanger (4) has a supercharged air guide channel for guiding the supercharged air between an air inlet (41) and air outlet (42). The guide channel includes an air case (48) constituted of a connector, intermediate air case (46), inlet header and an outlet header connected to heat exchanging tubings. The air case is provided with a wall formed of thermoplastic material e.g. polyamide, which is reinforced by glass fibers. An inner surface of the wall guides the supercharged air, and is coated with a metallic material. An independent claim is also included for an internal combustion engine comprising an intake air compression device.
