The device has a striker (10) fixed to a left lateral sliding door, where the striker has a hollow part (24) to receive a latch (12) in debate position. Stopper surfaces of the striker and the latch are in contact with respect to each other in the debate position of the latch. A normal i.e. inclined direction, is inclined with respect to a direction (L) of an axle (14) of the latch, where the normal is selected from stopper surface normal of the striker and the latch. A wedge (38) and another wedge are distinct from the latch and the striker, respectively. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle comprising a case.
