The vehicle (1) has a traction chain (8) with an electric machine (7) connected to wheels. A heat enclosure (19) has ends (20, 21) emerging from a side of a passenger compartment (2) and a side of exterior (23) of a vehicle. A reversible blowing device (17) generates an air stream (18), and modifies circulation direction of the stream inside the enclosure. A battery (14) of the chain connected to the machine by an uninterruptible power supply (12), or to a heat exchanger, is positioned inside the enclosure, so as to be cooled by the stream circulating inside the enclosure. An independent claim is also included for a method for utilizing a vehicle.
